Each contact lens contains a blend of three colors to create a subtle color change. FreshLook Colorblend contacts come in an array of colors, including blue, hazel, green, gray, sapphire and brown. To find a color that works for you, visit the FreshLook Colorblends website, where you can upload a color photograph of yourself and “try on” different colored lenses. FreshLook® offers a wide palette of beautiful colors. Color selection depends on your natural eye color, hair color, skin tone, and the type of change you’d like. As with all contact lenses, FreshLook Colorblends are available with a prescription from a doctor.

General Tips:

Wash your hands and rinse thoroughly before handling lenses

Dry your hands with a lint-free towel

Use finger tips to handle lens (avoid finger nails or any other sharp object)

Check if lens is clean, wet and damage-free

Things You’ll Need:

Hand soap and towel

Mirror

Contact case

Contact solution

How To Insert Your FreshLook Colorblends Lenses:

Wash your hands with soap and warm water and dry your hands with a clean towel. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly before applying your contact lenses, but avoid overly scented or oily soaps that might adhere to the lens surface. Especially avoid using products containing lanolin.

Carefully peel the foil back from your contact lens package. There will be one contact lens per package.

If you have a different prescription for each eye, there will be an indication on the disposable case that tells you whether that lens is for your right or left eye.

Position the contact on the tip of your index finger and rinse it with a no-rub cleansing solution designed for contact lenses. Take your pointer or index finger and gently slide it under the curved part of the lens. Make sure the edges of the FreshLook Colorblends contact are pointing upwards and not pointing out. If the edges of the contact are pointing out, the contact is probably inside out. If this happens, simply flip the contact over on your finger so the edges are pointing up.

Look into a mirror and gently pull up on your upper eyelid and place the contact so it is directly above your iris. Slowly place the contact onto your eye and pull away your finger.

Blink your eye slowly to make sure the contact is properly inserted. When FreshLook Colorblends are properly applied, you should feel nothing. If you have any discomfort or pain, remove the contact immediately and sterilize the contact with your no-rub contact solution. Once the contact is clean, repeat Steps 3 and 4.

Repeat Steps 3 to 5 to insert another contact into your other eye.

Remove your FreshLook Colorblends contacts at the end of each day. Wearing your contacts to bed increases your risk of eye infection and irritation. To remove your contacts, gently pull upwards on your upper eyelid and pinch the bottom of the contact while simultaneously pulling it from your eye. Place the contact into a clean contact case and cover it with a no-rub contact solution.

Dispose of your contact lenses after 1 to 2 weeks, depending on your doctor’s instructions. Each pair of FreshLook Colorblends is designed to be worn temporarily and no longer than 2 weeks.

When cared for properly, soft contact lenses can provide a healthy, comfortable and convenient vision correction option. Whether you are new to contact lenses or have been wearing them for years, the following tips will help you to enjoy the benefits of contact lenses.

Furthermore, proper follow-up care by your eye doctor is essential to ensure eye health throughout your life. Over time, your eyes and lenses can change, often without symptoms or warning signs which may put you at risk for developing potentially serious complications, including vision loss. Regular ongoing professional care can help to ensure a lifetime of good vision and eye health.

Follow a Wearing Schedule

Different lenses are made for different wearing schedules. While some lenses can potentially be worn for a week or even a month of continuous wear, others are meant to be taken out daily. To protect your eyes from serious complications, it is important that you follow the wearing schedule that your eye care professional recommends. Please consult your eye care professional if you have any questions about the proper wearing schedule of your lenses.

Inserting and Removing Your Lenses

It is important that you wash, rinse and dry your hands thoroughly each time you handle your lenses. Good hygiene helps to eliminate germs which can cause eye infection – especially for smokers. Do not insert a lens into an eye that is red, irritated or painful. In these instances, you should contact your eye care professional immediately before continuing contact lens use.

Contact Lenses Care

Depending on the type of lens you are wearing, there are many different options for cleaning and disinfecting your lenses. Some lenses, such as daily disposable lenses, require little to no lens care – they are simply thrown away after each use. However, if you wear lenses that your eye care professional has recommended that you take out and re-insert into your eye, they should be cleaned and disinfected after each use. Proper care for your lenses can help your lenses stay clean and comfortable for you to wear. Your eye care professional can help you decide what lens care solutions are best for you.

Always Try to Reduce the Risk for Infection

Clean and safe handling of contact lenses is one of the most important measures contact lens wearers can take to protect their vision. Follow these tips, and they can help you avoid any adverse events:

You should always wash your hands with soap before you handle your contact lens or touch your eye.

Never purchase any contact lensses that is not prescribed by your doctor.

Do not share your cosmetic contact lenses, as this could lead to serious eye infections.

Never use the tap water to rinse your lenses or your lens case.

Use fresh solution each time you place your lenses in a lens storage case.

A new lens case should be used with each new bottle of solution or at least once in three month.

Stick to the wearing schedule that your doctor prescribes and dispose of your lenses when it is recommended.

Do not leave your contact lenses in overnight. Contact lenses should not be worn for longer than 8 hours at a time.

Swimming while wearing contact lenses can cause serious problems and is not recommended. Wear protective goggles while swimming. Ask your eye doctor for specific advice regarding swimming with lenses.

Any Problems with contact lenses?

If you experience any problems with your contact lenses seek immediate medical attention. Discomfort can be an early sign of a more serious complication, and early treatment can have a significant impact on overcoming problems.

When choosing the means of vision correction – contact lenses or glasses – of cource contact lenses are more convenient. For example, using contact lenses you can wear sunglasses on a sunny day (this is especially handy if you’re driving the car). The frame when wearing corrective glasses is constantly in the field of view than its limit, while the contact lenses do not interfere with the eye to see. That’s why I chose contact lenses.

The main thing in contact lenses wearing is the right care. You must strictly comply with all recommendations of ophthalmologist and rules for the use of lenses and care for container storage. Disregarding these rules may lead to serious eye damage and the development of different eye diseases. But do not hurry to abandon such a convenient invention of mankind! Terms of care are quite simple and it only takes 5-15 minutes of your time each day.

The most important condition is cleanliness. It is the guarantee of your health. First of all, you should always wash your hands before you putting on or taking off your contacts. Secondly, do not use oily cosmetics, soap, cream, lotions, before touching the lenses.

Attention, beautiful ladies! Lenses should be put on before applying make-up and you should take contacts off before you are going to remove makeup. And always close your eyes before using hair spray or other aerosols.

Try not to sunbathe while wearing lenses and do not smoke. If you do sports (especially aquatic species), consult with an ophthalmologist. I always take off my lenses before visiting the solarium, pool, sauna. But if you are in the gym, the lenses are simply irreplaceable.

You must use a special solution for contact lenses. It is very close in composition to tears of an adult, so the solution doesn’t harm to your eyes. Do not use tap water to wash your contacts! This water contains many impurities that may contaminate the lens and cause inflammation to your eyes. And never leave your lenses for a long time without a solution, because they dry out and become brittle. Such lenses are no longer suitable and they should be discarded and replaced with new ones.

The solution should be changed after each use. And if you leave the lens for a long time in the solution, you need to change it at least once every five days. And never mix different solutions together, because their chemical composition may vary and there can be possible side effects. If you want to use the new solution, you should wash the container with boiled water and allow it to dry properly.

Talking about the terms of the lenses, you should know that there are daily-wear lenses, monthly, three-month and lenses of long-term use (6-12 months). The less time the use of lenses, thinner they are and therefore more comfortable for the eyes. Do not use lenses longer than it is recommended. And it is not recommended to wear lenses for a long time without taking off. It is better if you put them in the morning and take in the evening, not longer. While some lenses you can afford to carry many days (so-called “breathable” contact lenses).

And the lens is very good that there are colored and enhancement cosmetic contact lenses. This allows you to change the shade or eye color. If you correctly pick the color (some salons have samples lenses, which can be examples), we can achieve extraordinary effects! Change your style with colored contact lenses, you’ll love it! It’s really very beautiful.

But, of course, to choose the contact lenses right, you must consult with an ophthalmologist. Now any self-respecting salon-optics offers the service of a doctor. Take care of your health!

soft

rigid gas permeable (RGP)

Soft contact lenses contain 25% to 79% water, are easy to adapt to and are quite comfortable.

Rigid gas permeable contacts provide better visual acuity, durability, and deposit resistance than soft contact lenses. Here’s a look at a comparison of different contact lenses. You choose which one is right for you.

Daily-wear soft lenses

These contacts are made of soft, flexible plastics that allow oxygen to reach the eyes. They are easy to adjust to and quite comfortable. They are also available in tints and bifocals.

Daily-wear disposable soft lenses

Daily disposable contact lenses are the ultimate in convenience. There is no need to clean, disinfect, or add enzymes to the lenses–just throw them away after each use. You simply replace it with a fresh, new, and sterile pair every morning. They are ideal for traveling because there is no need to transport contact lens solutions or cases. They are also ideal for sports because there is much less concern over the possibility of losing a contact lens.

Extended-wear soft lenses

These contacts can usually be worn for up to seven days without removal but now there exists also a new extended –wear soft lens. A new generation of contact lens is making 30-day contact lens wear available once again. These “continuous wear” lenses are made from new super-permeable silicone hydro gel materials. The lenses provide much more oxygen to the eye than most conventional extended wear contact lenses, making 30-day extended wear a safer option than before.

Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP)

Rigid gas permeable contact lenses take longer to adjust to, but are more resistant to deposit buildup. With a lifespan of 1-2 years, they are also more durable. Although initially more costly, they tend to be less expensive over the long run and can offer some people crisper vision than they would get with soft contacts. RGP lenses are available in tints and bifocals.

The most common uses of them are for cosmetic purposes, along with vision correction. The average user of a colored lens is often not looking to attract overt attention to themselves or the fact that they are wearing the lenses in the first place.

Contact lenses aren’t just for seeing better. They’re for looking better too. In fact, some people who don’t even need vision correction wear tinted contact lenses as a way to change their look.

Are you having trouble choosing the right contact lens color? Well today’s tinted lenses allow you to enhance your natural eye color – making the blue bluer or the green greener – or change it altogether. There are four types of colored contact lenses: visibility tints, enhancement tints, opaque color tints and light-filtering tints to help you choose the best contact lens color.

Visibility Tints. These are usually tinted a light blue or green. The tint does not affect eye color however; it’s to help people see their lenses better in case they misplace or drop them.

Enhancement Tints. Enhancement contact lenses are colored lenses designed to enhance the natural color of your eyes. Enhancement contact lenses use an enhancement tint that is translucent, meaning some of your natural eye color will be visible. Enhancement contact lenses are an ideal choice for people with light-colored eyes who are looking to brighten or intensify their natural eye color. Enhancement tints are solid yet translucent and are a darker than visibility tints. As the name suggests, they’re meant to enhance existing eye color. These types of tints are ideal for people with light colored eyes who wish to make their eye color more intense.

Opaque Color Tints. Opaque color tints are used to dramatically change a person’s iris color. These are deeper, opaque tints usually made of patterns of solid colors. They are the perfect solution for those fed up with their regular eye color, whether it be baby blues or “Betty Davis” eyes. Opaque color tints come in a wide variety of colors, including hazel, green, blue, violet and gray.Color tints are also available for theatrical, novelty or costume purposes. Thinking about dressing up as an alien or vampire this Halloween? Novelty lenses can greatly enhance your costume.

Light-Filtering Tints. These tints were developed only recently for sports use. They enhance certain colors (such as optic yellow, the color of many tennis balls, softballs and golf balls), while muting other colors. As a result, the ball stands out against the background and is easier to hit. These lenses can also be used by spectators of course. More are being developed especially for golfers, trap-shooters, skiers, and other sports enthusiasts.

With tinted lenses you accomplish two goals at once: seeing better and looking better.

If you want something out of the ordinary when it comes to contact lenses then you might want to have a look at special effect lenses, also known as crazy contacts, novelty contacts or Halloween contact lenses.

Spice up your style with our awesome range of Crazy eyes contact lenses. These eye-catching contacts come in funky designs and bright colours to really get you noticed. Every Crazy contact lens offers exceptional comfort and can be worn many times. For more freaky contacts check out our Wild Eyes contact lenses and Halloween contact lenses.

When using these lenses you’ll change the appearance of your eyes completely without really affecting the eyes themselves. Crazy contact lenses have been commonly used in Hollywood movies but are now just as common and popular to wear during Halloween, at cosplay gatherings and parties, or at any other festivity where an outfit could need a little sprucing up.

One reason for the popularity of these crazy and special efect lenses is that everyone can wear them – regardless if you have a vision disorder or not. However, even if you order them with zero power, you still need to be fitted by an eye care professional.

Crazy contacts are not limited to animal eyes or horror movie characters. There are many other appearance and design and colors to choose from. How kind of wearing luminous dark eyes? Crazy contact right? Perhaps you prefer to have some rather sweet, such as ladybugs and delicate eyes or daisy. Or, you can represent your favorite sports teams, and have your eyes picture your team’s colors and logo.

Can I get Crazy Contact Lenses without a Prescription?

No you can’t get special effect contact lenses without a prescription. Even though you might not a have a defect of vision, and normally wouldn’t need regular prescription contacts, you still will need a prescription for these lenses. The reason for this is that crazy contacts might not have to come with any power but they still require proper fitting and only an eye doctor can do this.

But do not wait too long to get a pair of crazy contact. All links to purchase necessary prescription. Even if you do not have any vision problems and you just want to wear a new dual-lens, you still need to see an optometrist. He or she will give you a prescription, so you buy a pair of crazy contact lenses.

What Different Styles of Special Effect Contact Lenses are Available?

The most popular time to consider the crazy contact lenses was in October, the eve of Halloween. Wearing a pair of crazy contact lenses can be said to be the finishing touch and it to become a great fashion to be a surprisingly amazing other.

There are several brands that sell Special Effect and Crazy Contact Lenses but the most popular is probably the WildEyes line manufactured by CIBA. The different styles and effects are close to endless but some that always seem to be in demand are red hot (deep red), hypnotic (a spiral pattern), wildfire (a sunburst pattern), knockout (An X instead of a pupil) and cat eye.

How Do I Take Care of my Crazy Contacts?

Such contacts are to be treated just as any other type of contact lenses. They should not be worn at night and they are to be cleansed properly, with approved cleaning solutions, at the end of the day. If you’re a beginner when it comes to contact lenses – talk with your optician. Let this eye care professional demonstrate the appropriate techniques of maintenance for you. The lifetime of the contacts will vary and this is also something your optician can tell you.

Where Can I Buy Crazy Contact Lenses?

Wherever you can buy regular contact lenses you should also be able to purchase special effect contact lenses. Never ever use crazy contacts that have been obtained without a prescription. Your eyes are tender and in using non-prescription lenses you risk the chance of damaging your eyes gravely.

If you suffer from a defect of vision and need to wear contact lenses on a regular basis you will probably also want to order traditional contacts along with the special effect contact lenses. Crazy contacts might not always be a wise alternative and if you wear them all the time you could even come to grow tired of them.

There are many online sites have dozens of styles of crazy contact lenses choice. All of this might be worth it, as it can help you win the grand prize of clothing contest.

Cheap Special Effect and Crazy Contact Lenses

For the lowest price, purchase your Wild Eyes contact lenses around Halloween. These special effect lenses usually go on sale at that time of year. Wild Eyes are known as special effect contacts, and they are comfortable to wear and extremely popular around Halloween. For special effects or for use with a theatrical costume and coming in a variety of crazy designs and colors such as solid white, black, red, vampire, and cat eyes are these novelty color contacts.

Contact lenses have truly changed the world for those with vision problems. You need not bear the brunt of those geeky specs any longer. These contact lenses rectify your vision and that too without deriding you off your appearance. However, a downside to contact lenses is that they can be quite expensive. But nevertheless, you can still buy contact lenses at cheaper rates with the help of various special offers.

Eye doctors don’t want you to know that you can get the same lenses 40-70% cheaper.

Now, the next obvious question would be where to find these special offers. Your nearby store owner can definitely offer you some discounts on these contact lenses. However, it is the internet that is the best place to look up to in case you are looking for special offers on contact lenses.

The best thing that you can do to buy cheap contacts is look up on the official website of the contact lens you are considering. For instance, if you use Bausch and Lomb lenses, then you can simply log on to the official website and see if there are any discounts available on the lens of your choice.

If you want to get cheap contact lenses, buying your contacts online is the answer. You would be surprised to find out that online contact lens retailers offer discount contacts for 40-70% of the price you would pay for exactly the same lenses at the optometrist’s office.

Are cheap contact lenses from online stores different from the lenses you order from eye care practitioners?

No, they are exactly the same contacts produced by the same companies. Contact lens manufacturers, like Johnson and Johnson Vision Products Inc, CIBA vision and Bausch & Lomb, distribute their contact lenses through eye care practitioners as well as through online and mail order retailers, where you can get your lenses much cheaper. For this reason most people prefer to buy their contacts online. In the recent years ordering discounted contacts online has become very popular.

Online contact lens stores have an enormous advantage over traditional retailers: they don’t pay rent, they don’t have any shop assistants, and they also save in other areas usually associated with running a traditional shop. By selling discounted contacts, they pass part of these savings to you. Also, big online retailers, like Coastal Contacts, sell thousands of discounted lenses each day, so they can afford to take less profit from each pare of lenses.

Ordering discount contacts online – some words of caution.

Ordering discounted contact lenses online is convenient and safe, when you buy from reputable contact lens retailers. However, the thing to remember about ordering anything over the Internet is that not all online stores are the same.

It is very easy to set up an e-commerce web site, and every man and his dog are selling online now. So along with top-quality, famous discount lens retailers, like Coastal Contacts or 1-800 Contacts, there are companies operated out of someone’s garage.

There is nothing wrong with buying from a small company. However, it might happen that they only keep the most popular contacts in stock. So if you are prescribed lenses that are less common, they would have to order them for you, and that will cause a delay in shipping.

Contact lenses have long been considered the domain of people who suffer from visual deterioration. People thought that the contact lenses are just like prescription drugs, you cannot purchase them without a prescription written in illegible language by a doctor who uses thick horn rimmed glasses. But the reality is different, the market is flooded with non prescription contact lenses which come with a zero diopter rating and can be used by anyone.

But the natural question is that if one does not have any eye problems, why would he wear contact lenses at all? The companies have moved on from making simple transparent contact lenses and now you can easily purchase color tinted contact lenses. These color contact lenses can be used to change the color of the pupil of your eye. You can make your eyes look watery, bright or even funky.

Many people search online for contact lenses with no prescription needed. Technically such thing doesn’t exist. According to the law, contact lenses are medical devices and selling contact lenses without prescription is illegal in USA, UK and Canada. Contact lens with no prescription are not easy to find.

If you want to get cheap contact lenses, buying your contacts online is the answer. You would be surprised to find out that online contact lens retailers offer discount contacts for 40-70% of the price you would pay for exactly the same lenses at the optometrist’s office.

Contact lenses without prescription are available in colored and plain varieties and disposable and extended wear types. The extended wear contacts last longer but require proper handling, cleaning and thorough care. Since disposable lenses can be discarded after use, they are more hygienic and help to keep the eye free from infections.

The color contact lenses are available in two types:

First is the semi transparent enhancement type color contact lens.

The second is opaque contact lenses.

Both these contact lenses are available without a prescription but you must know that not every type of color contact lens shall suit you. You have to choose the type according to the color of your eyes. For people with light colored eyes both types of lenses are fine enough but for people with dark eyes, the only option is opaque contact lenses.

The other type of non prescription contact lenses are costume contact lenses. They are specially designed contact lenses which have different patterns on them. Depending on your choice you can buy costume contact lenses that have funky, horrible or joke type design patterns on them. You can find lenses to make your eyes look blood shot or like the eyes of a cat or a lion.

While non prescription lenses do not need a prescription, it is recommended that you get your eyes checked by a doctor find any minor infections or injuries caused by dust particles. The contact lenses are going to be touching your eyes. If used improperly, they might worsen the injury. You must get your eyes checked from a doctor before you go and buy non prescription contact lenses.
